My feelings for cruelty to animals
I watch each day
as the horror hits me,
in cruel repetition, animals are slaughtered,
one by one they tumble to the ground.
It is selfish humans
who inflict pain upon clean souls,
creatures who were moulded by God
lay in crumbled heaps.
A stab of anger
quivers down my spine
as suddenly a slight voice cries out
and a baby kangaroo falls to the ground,
dogs' meat in the making.
Ducks wandering,
living in a world of their own until
suddenly a selfish human reveals a gun
and BANG
a sport, but yet a sorrow.
