RSPCA Court Cases 1988 to 1999
1988 - 1989
A total of 45 cases were prepared. Of these, 28 cases were taken to court during the year, 6 were dropped for various reasons, and 15 cases were still waiting to be heard in court at the end of April 1989. Where `"Section 36" is noted under the heading of `Sentence', this means that the person has been forbidden to own animals under section 36 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Court Cases 1989 -1990
Thirty (30) cases were prepared for prosecution during the year. Of these, 16 went to court and resulted in prosecutions. In a further 4 cases the RSPCA issued warnings to people.
